Santa Letter

Hi Everybody,

I know it is getting late, with only a few days left before Christmas, so I thought I would finally write my letter to Santa. Don't worry about him getting it in time. I'm going to email it.

I have been giving this a lot of thought, this being my first real Christmas. I have to be very careful about what I ask for. I want Santa to like me. Many ask Santa to bring world peace, so I won't ask for that, although it would be great if he could do it. Many ask Santa to end world hunger, so I won't ask for that either, although it would be great if he could do it. It's not that I don't want these things, I do. It's just that they have been asked for over and over by millions of people every year and we still don't have them, so I figured that Santa is not responsible for bringing these things, we are. I mean people are. Not us pets. We are responsible for bringing the same thing Santa does -- happiness, joy, and fun into people's lives. Our job is to make people smile, and we are great at that!

That said, let's get down to business.

SANTAStop hanging around, and pay attention!!

Finally, somebody who will listen.

(Look at these two on the left. They think they're pretty cool. Especially the one with his nose up in the air. He thinks that he is a big deal just because he has a red blankie. Well, I have news for him! I have a red blankie, too, and mine's a lot bigger than that.)

Sorry, I was distracted. Anyway, here is my toy basket, with most, but not all, of my toys in it. (My Mom finally picked them up off the floor today. I'll put them back where they are supposed to be when I have time.) As you can see, I do have quite a lot of toys, so I really don't need any more. Besides, my favorite toy is an empty 16.9 ounce plastic water bottle. They are crunchy and make a terrific noise. None of my other toys can make that sound.

Finally, here is my letter.

Dear Santa,

My name is Koobuss and I am a wire fox terrier. I am just over one year old. I have a great home with people who love me dearly and there is nothing that I need. There are two things that I would like to have. I want an endless supply of bully sticks, and I want my mom to take me for more walks. That's all I want, Santa. More bully sticks and more walks. If I could have these two things, I would be very happy and I would not bother you again any more for at least a year. Thank You. Kiss, Kiss.

Love and Lots of Koobuss Kisses,

pee ess Thank You Santa for what you did for me last year when I was just a little puppy. It is at this time of year that you brought me to my family here. They and I will be forever grateful. I love you, Santa. (While you are at it, will you please see what you can do for all my less fortunate homeless furry friends out there and for the Blaineville wires. Thanks again.)

What a great letter! I wish that Santa could give all the things you asked for, but he is just one fat guy, it will take lots of smart humans. Too bad those are few and far between!

Koobie, Koobie all in red
Don't you want a brand new bed?
Don't you want a lot of toys?
And don't you want some handsome boys?
Just billy sticks and walks, you say.
Why, you will get those straight away.
Dear Santa's packing up right now.
And you will see him dressed in style.
As he will bless your every wish.
Cause billy sticks are quite delish.
And walks are pretty healthy too.
Well, for your Mom, as well as you.
And what a special Wire you are.
Your selflessness will take you far.
And Dewey says this all is true.
A Merry Christmas wish to YOU !!!

Koobie, my Sweet...I am sooo very sorry I've not been to see you...our house is NUTS! Babystan is insane. Just because he listens, wants to please the parents, hardly ever has accidents, only chews dog toys, and is like the pawfect Dale pup doesn't mean we haven't gotten into some trouble. Or perhaps Trouble. Stan and I were in the bathroom...Mumsie had taken a shower. She ran out to get dressed and Babystan jumped up on the door and locked it with his large Dale paw. We were UNSUPERVISED till Mumsie picked the lock and got back in. Then we had this amazing game of chase...I ran under the lamp table...Babystan THOUGHT he ran under it, but he was a tad too tall. Daddy said he thinks he can fix the's in a couple of pieces. Then Lac and I were playin' chase outside and she skidded on some ice on the same paw she got caught in the babygate the day before when she was tryin' to bite Mumsie's ankles. Yep...she busted another toenail...that's 2 in 3 weeks...she has anothe big bandage on and she's hoppin' on 3 legs...Poor Lacie...she was cryin' and moanin' for 2 days...Mumsie had to give her doggie drugs for pain.

So you see my Sweet Koobie, with all of the above and my shoppin, wrappin and baking....IM EXHAUSTED!!!

We loved your letter to Santa are the sweetest Girl...I wish I coulda been there when you had no power...we coulda snuggled and kept warm together.

I gotta go wrap someone pressies...Sweet Dreams, dear Girl!!
