Kousin Buzzin

Hi Guys,

Here is a picture of my great kousin Koobus I, the one who started it all. He lived here from 1975 to 1984 and was a rescue dog from the local SPCA.

One sunny summer day a son of a bee inoculated Kousin Koobus when K1 inadvertently sat on him. He got stung you know where. (He was never the same after that with that venom in him.) The look on kousin Koobus’ face was one of amazement! He did what any wft would do. He ran upstairs at top speed and hid under the bed. Nobody saw him for the rest of the day. The stinger did a zinger on him. From then on, a buzzing bee made kousin Koobie flee. If anything can make you humble, it’s a bumble, especially in the wrong spot. More than one proud dog has been humiliated in this manner.

What exactly is a bumble anyway and how do bees get them? Did anyone ever see a bumble on a bee?

The moral of the story is: DO NOT RUMBLE WITH THOSE WHO BUMBLE. It hurts!

Why do bees do this to us dogs? We don’t bite them. I got the bumble head on his cell and asked him. His answer was, “Whatever will bee will bee”. So bee it.

Isn’t this a honey of a story?

Hi, Koobuss! Your cousin sure was a cutie! I'm sporting the same 'do as he! I feel like a shorn sheep! *blush* As for those busy bees, they are quite a tasty snack! I can't wait for the weather to get warmer so I can catch me some yummmm-ble bumbles! Heh heh! Mom growls at me for eating them, but I can't resist!!! Anyway, take care, pal!

Very clever post! You are so poetic! I have just started meeting bumble bees for the first time, though I have managed to avoid getting stung so far.

Hi Koobuss, That was a funny post & Koobuss is such a great name, but when I was just 3 months old, I stepped on a bee & it wasn't funny. I let out such a scream that my mum was scared to death. She pulled out the stinger and put an ice pack on my foot and cuddled me till I was feeling better. xxx Asta

clever clever clever. I can't wait til you get a bit older, we will all marvel.

I'm one of those who avoid bumbles. Teka however, snaps at them like crazy. I sure hope she doesn't get buzzed by a bumble like Koobus I did

my mommy's firstWFT, Nikki, once stuck his little nose into a beehive, being a curious little wire puppy....he stopped, stunned for a second, then ran and ran for 20 minutes, trying to outrun all the bees..when mommy finally caught him his nose was covered with red bites,..poor puppy had to have all the stingers taken out and disinfected..luckily he wasn't alergic..it was scary...be careful!

I have more wasps in my garden than bumble bees. I haven't been stung yet but I like to chase and snap at them. They're even better when they get indoors and you can trap them against a window and eat them! J x
