Careers

Hi Guys,

I want to thank each of you for reading my blog and sending me your comments. It is fun to hear from you. I have been reading your information and I am fascinated by all the different interests and careers you have. Because I am underage, I am still pretty much unemployed except for my position here as Chief of Security. This takes up much of my time since the invasion. (See earlier blogs.) Now I have a new thing to worry about—birds. Inasmuch as I am not a bird dog, this makes it even more difficult for me. When I first moved here back in December there were no birds at all. Then a few came and now there seems to be thousands! I don’t know where they all came from. I am way out-numbered!! I am doing my best to keep them under control, off my deck and out of my yard, but it seems as though I am falling further and further behind. Soon after I chase some, more come. And these are just the birds! I didn’t even get to the squirrels and bunnies yet. I am almost overwhelmed. Between the birds and the invaders, I am exhausted and I am worried about getting an ulcer. Do any of you out there have this same problem? If you do, please let me know how you cope with it.

Because of all this, I am looking to change careers. I have been giving some thought to what I want to be when I grow up. Some of you have great jobs! Like Axel, who is an entertainer and Maggie who is in law enforcement. (Is this similar to Chief of Security?) Butchy and Snickers are Dog Fashion Models! Wow!! Oscar Airedale is in Sports or Recreation. (Sounds like a lot of fun.) Gus is a consultant. Toto is a doggie model and Isabella is in Human Resources. But I like Wee Wiggly’s job the best. He is a Napoleonic Dictator! Now that’s what I want to be!

My Dearest Koobus,
I understand your desire for a new career--I know that as "Queen of all She Surveys," I sometimes feel overwhelming pressure to be all things to all dogs. Then, I realize that they need to be all things to me. It is their duty to their sovereign. I suggest that you remain Director of Security, but turn the bird chasing duties over to that Airedale you mentioned.

Best of luck with your blog!
Licks,
banba

Mom calls me the Warden all the time! Nothing gets by me around here and I take my job very seriously! No hanky panky goes on in my house! Does this sound like the job you were looking for Koobuss?

Love ya lots,
Maggie

Well, Teka has a great job, but not a great title. Muzzer says she is a "Pain in the Butt" but Teka seems to have a great time doing it!

Yes, I am the entertainer but I really aspire to be the best, and most famous dog philanthropist. I like to help my fellow dogs who are not as lucky as we are.

And don't forget Ayatollah Mugsy (ayatollahmugsy.blogspot.com) - now HE has a great job!

Love,

Hi Koobuss,

It sounds like you can use some help with those birds. I have a very cushy job - I made myself head of the household. But, sometimes my staff are a bit unhappy with their lot. xxx Asta

Yeah, I have realised the birds are always going to have the upper hand what with their wings & all, so I'm pretty bored of them now. As for squirrels, let me at 'em!
