When's Hunting Season?

Hi Friends,

Will ya look at these guys! They are having such a good time here, pawtying day and night, having all kinds of fun at their annual reunion. Why do they have to have it at my house? They even posed for a group picture! What nerve!! All I can say is that they better have their fun now because pretty soon some of them will be dinner while the orange round-headed ones will be dessert. Hehe.

Anyway, I've decided to take some lessons on how to catch them. The bird that I saw run out of our yard, across the street, and through our neighbor's yard the other day looked exactly like this one on TV. It might have even been him! He had a green head and neck with a thick tight white necklace on. I tried to chase him, but to no avail. Catching him is going to be more difficult than I at first thought, so I have to pay strict attention here to what they are saying and learn as many pointers as possible. This is an urgent matter that requires my immediate attention. I must be well-prepared so that I am ready the next moment I see him. Of course, the next time that I see him I hope that my mom is not on the other end of the leash like she was the last time. If I have to keep dragging her around with me over the river and through the woods then I'll never catch him. But that's another story.

I'd Rather Be Dense

One night last week when my mom joined some of her old (?) high school classmates for their monthly Girls' Night Out dinner, one of them remarked that she was getting shorter, but her feet were getting bigger. My mom immediately thought, "So that's where it goes!"

Then the other day she went to get a bone density test. That is something humans do to determine how thick their bones are, which is fine with me because I like thick bones, especially thick bones with lots of meat on them that I can chew on for hours. Anyway, my mom (who is shrinking almost as fast as the stock market and is down to five feet, three and a half inches tall) learned a couple dismal facts there while the test was being done.

Such as, as you age your body shrinks except for three body parts that keep growing until you die. They are your feet, your ears, and your nose. Yikes!! She was expecting the doctor to come in and say, “I have bad news for you. You are getting shorter and your nose is getting bigger!” What a nightmare!!!

So, here she sits, staring at the computer and getting shorter by the minute. Glad I don't have to worry about that. I'm already short. Hehehe..

Confusion

Will someone please explain to me what season it is? Is it spring or is it fall? Am I coming or going? I wish I knew.

Awards

Two Awards

Sharing the Love

Hi Friends,

I was honored and privileged recently to receive two awards from my cross-state friends, Asta Marie, Dewey, and Toby. Thank You so much, guys. These awards are sincerely appreciated.

The Sharing the Love award has a really special story behind it.
This lovely award is created by Crystal @ Memoirs of a Mommy in honor of Noah and the donor of his sweet little heart who ENCOURAGES us to SHARE THE LOVE! The rules for this award are to pass it along to some people whose blogs you love. They make you laugh, smile, leave encouraging comments on your blog. You would like to share some love with them because they have uplifted, inspired, encouraged or prayed for you. Please include this paragraph with the link to Memoirs of a Mommy so that everyone knows where this award originated from. So you'll want ta visit the blog to see what it's all about. The story behind it brings tears to your eyes. I'd like to pass it on to my kousin Asta in New York.

************************************************************

The second award I received from Asta Marie, Dewey, and Toby is the butterfly award. Isn't she beautiful!! The butterfly flies free and goes wherever she wants to go. If she has not yet landed on your blog, please take her and then send her off in a new direction. She needs to visit many spots, so please keep her going. Thank You!

Howl-o-ween

Hi Friends,

I'm all ready to go to the big Howl-o-ween pawty in London, as soon as I figure out which one of these I am.

I also have to decide my mode of transportation to the hairport to pick up Aire-Ruby for our trip to London. And, who are all these other guys?

Yucky Stuff

Hi Friends,

This is what it looked like around here on Saturday. It was one of those cold, wet, dreary days that people like when they want to stay in the house and watch football and need an excuse not to go outside.

Anyway, on Sunday morning when my mom took me for my walk, the ground was still wet so that meant a lot of mud, one of my favorite things. I had a ball! I got wet and muddy, but I was not satisfied until I found a pile of brown stinky sticky stuff that some other animal left in our yard under one of our trees. So, I did what any self-respecting dog would do. I rolled in it. Left and right and right and left over and over again. It was loads of fun! Well, my mom, not liking mud and brown stinky sticky stuff as much as I do, did what any self-respecting dog-mom would do. She marched me right in the house, past everything, straight to the tub, and gave me the longest bath that I have ever had in my whole two years of life. (I did kind of enjoy the warn water but don't tell her that.) Now I smell nice (yucky), my fur is all soft and fluffy (yuckier) and I am clean (yuckiest).

I guess I'll just have to start all over again. It takes a while to build up that wonderful dog smell.

Sorry there are no photos of me, but mom knew better than to let go of me to get the camera. Sometimes she is no fun at all.

Baby Photos

Hi Dear Friends,

When my mom saw those adorable photos and videos of Asta's half-brother puppy Duffy (Is he my half-kuzzin I wonder) on Kousin Asta's bloogie she got to reminiscing about my early puppy days when I first moved here at the age of ten weeks. She forgets that I am now two and that I am a big girl who finds these puppy photos very embarrassing. I look like a real dork. My mom's a sentimental wuss.

Maggie and Mitch talked about revealing secrets on their blog. Well, here's some of mine, unfortunately. (I am just so mortified.)
