Hi Everybody!
Tonight was the first round of the annual Westminster Beauty Contest. It's kind of like the Super Bowl for dogs.
Needless to say, I was interested in watching, especially the Terrier Group. So, I stole Grandpa's chair and TV and made myself comfortable. And, of course, I was rooting for the wire fox terrier. Here he is. He's very handsome. Sexy, too. A real chick magnet.
I watched him do his routine and then I realized that I'd rather be here, cozy and comfy in one of my favorite chairs. Now look at the sad expression on this poor guy. He doesn't look happy at all. He wants to be home cozy and comfy in his chair, too. Or else he has to go to the bathroom and is embarrassed to do it in front of the judge and on national television.
And how about this little cutie. Look at those eyes. (Please bigify.) He looks scared to death. Maybe he has stage fright. Or else he saw something that he shouldn't have.
Oh look! There's Lacie!! Or is it Stella? Or is it Toby? I don't know. It's hard to tell from here.
And the Terrier Group winner! A Scottie. I don't know any Scotties, and I've never been to Scotland. But he is very distinguished and dapper looking.
So, the wire fox terrier didn't win. Humph. Wait 'til next year!!

It was fun to watch all the doggies from Night 1 BUT my real interest will be in the final group tonight!
I kept thinking of all my blogging pals each time they showed a breed I had knowledge of!
Good khall on the one with the brown eye looking bakhk at us (I think that was a Polish something terrier - khwite the fun looking khanine!)!
Better lukhk next year!

PeeEssWoo: Did The Snow Thief take yours yet?
Koobie: I'm figuring it is our turn again next year, based on statistics and hope and general cuteness.

We were robbed! J x
Ah Koobie, at least your dog could compete! When the Airedale couldn't compete because of a conflict of interest with the judge we were so disappointed!!!
The WFT was awfully darned cute :)
Love,
Bogart
At least you had the best seat in the house. That Scottie was quite dashing, but where was his kilt?
Those show doggies are like super models. They look great, but that is their job. We think our job is to get muddy and nap.
Simba and Jazzi xx
We agree with woo, Koobie - we prefer to be pets. And sitting on the sofa taking it all in is so good, isn't it?
Tail wags, the OP Pack
We have been watching this too! We like watching but would never want to be show dogs!!
Gee Koobie...
I seem ta be a bit far behind on blogs lately...we didn't watch the competition...but it looks like they passed over the wires again...'n ta think they used ta be the winningest dog ever at Westminster. Oh well, they tried anyway..'n looked swell too...
Dewey Dewster here....
Hey, Koobie Girl!
Nope. That wasn't me at Westminster. I am not refined enough to do anything like a dogshow, and thank DOGNESS! I'd much rather sit around and scratch my belly and belch really loudly.
Sorry about your WFT, but I think we in GooberStan are going to swear off this little dog & pony show from now on. We don't like the way they handled the whole Cairn Terrier & Airedale debacle.
Hope you're enjoying your new food. After you get used to it it's actually pretty fun.
Goobery love & kissies,
Stella
Heya fellow meaty feaster. Just hopped online and got your email.
We've found that there are very few dogs that can handle raw egg. Pupi and I explode with poobles if we get one. Try it scrambled and served up 1/2 in the AM and 1/2 in the PM. That might avoid any future rug art!
Glad you enjoyed your first wing and chewed like a Good Girl. You got all primal on your feast!
ahhh koobs...
glad you got (stole?) grampa's chair to watch this grand dog bowl...even if your favorite didn't win!
have a good weekend and loves to your mom for valentines day!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Luv
Snowball
Those terriers looked great but Stump won! Happy Valentine's Day!
Stuffed from eating a BIG feast,
