Hi Pals,
Does anybody know what this strange looking thing is? It was folded up in a tall container in a corner by the garage door. Today mom took it out of its hiding place and it popped open. That startled me! I never saw such a silly looking thing, so I was very careful around it. Anything that can go from being folded up to being so spread out at the push of a button is to be respected.
We went for a walk and it was raining. I got soaked. My mom held that strange looking thing over her. But I would not go near it. No, not me. I wanted no part of it. I even went out my way to avoid it. It made noise when the rain hit it!
I wonder why I got wet and my mom didn't. Maybe it was because of that strange looking thing. Ya think?

Oh Kooby...that is one of my favorite things. Muzzer taught me how to use it in Virginia!
First, we went out into the rain. Then, she held the umbrella over me, and we walked a bit. Next, she took the umbrella away, and I got wet! We walked a little more. She put the umbrella over me again. It only took one walk with a very wet muzzer and now I know that you walk close to humans on a rainy day and hope they have a BIG umbrella like the one in your picture.
Unfortunately, I do not get to practice that skill much in AZrizona!
Hi Koobuss! I'm so pleased to meet you! I've seen your comments on some of the other blogs, but this is my first time getting around to looking at yours!
I can see you're getting some of the same rain we're getting here in Ohio. It's been raining all day long! So I haven't been able to play outside much.. -sigh- Let's hope tomorrow is bright and sunny!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, and I'll be sure to add you to my friend's list! I think we'll be good friends!
Cheers!

Koobuss, I think that thing is called a...bumpershoot??? My mom used to call it that when she was little. Ours is sitting in our garage. Lacie has to go out tons, cause she's little, but she won't walk under it. Tonight in the rain she caught a toad almost as big as she was. She picked it up and was carrying it around. I wondered why Dog Mother was screaming so loudly. She was yelling about "toad rights." Lacie didn't care; she was yelling back about "toad snack." She is so ....redheaded sometimes. No offense to any of you Irishs, Welshies or 'Dales...or Dachies etc...lotsa red in the doggie world. Gotta hit the crate...had a busy day!! Rainy barks, Scruffy
Hi, Koobie.
Don't be afraid of that umbrella. It helps you to not get wet when you go out in a rainy day.
Next time, stay close to your mom when she uses it!
Have a good night

Hi Kooby...
So THAT is what that thing is. I do exactly what you do...walk around it, but from the way Gus describes it, wow, that makes sense! Rainy season doesn't start until November here in Sacramento so I guess I'll have to wait until than to try it out!
Lots of Licks, Ruby
Oh Koobuss! You're going to have some good wavy hair going on if you don't get under that thing!

Hi Koobus,
Thanks for dropping by my blog. You are so cute.
Luv,
Snowball
Hey Koobie! I asked Stormy what that thing is and she said it's called an umbrella. We don't use those here in Kansas 'cuz either it never rains (like lately ... just lots of thunder and lightning! and a drought) or the wind blows the rain so hard you get soaked anyway! I don't think I'd like those things.
Play bows,
Zim
Rain gives me bad hair days. I'd rather stay inside. J x
Koobuss Girl!
Gus gave a pretty good explanation, if you can believe it. Pawsonally, I like your kinky curly hair after a walk in the rain.
Goob love,
Stanley
