Decisions, Decisions
Hi Everybody,
My mom is agonizing about what to do with my hair. Strip or clip? Clip or strip? Or nothing at all? (Is this really an
option?) Sometimes I hope she leaves it the way it is. I kind of like the puppy look, but I know I can't be a puppy forever.
Can I? I am over nine months old already. Some day I am going to have to grow up and have an adult hairdo. Or not.
Maybe I can be a puppy forever. Or at least look like one. (Act like one, too, perhaps? hehehe)
What do you think?

Hi Koobie,
I know the feeling..I want to stay a puppy fowever too, and my Mommi misses the little puppy aweady...I've had two haircuts aweady(I just tuwned ten momfs)I look sooo gwownup, but guess what I got to still stay a puppy inside...my MOmmy has had the same gwoomer for four foxys now,so she did my hair, and she does stwipping..it didn't huwt, I kind of got bowed though, but it feels cooler in this yucky heat ,so I guess it's OK..either way you're gowgeous

Aw, you are a cute fuzzy little thing Koobie. I get stripped and I know I call it hair pulling and moan about it, it's not so bad and does keep your coat good and wiry like us WFT's and Airedales should be. My mum is learning so I don't have to go to the groomers (just lok a mess until she gets better, hehehe!).

Mitch and I both get clipped. Mom doesn't know how to strip. Either way - you'll be so much cooler! You'll always be a puppy - don't worry!
Love ya lots,
Maggie
I get clipped, but muzzer is practicing stripping my back cause she thinks Butchy and Snickers look so cute. Lots of choices, but you're cute either way!
Kooby,
I was professionally stripped one or two times, but the last time I freaked out in the cage waiting for the folks so they decided that was not for me. It wasn't the stripping, I think, but the confinement.
Now this is what they do for both JH and me. Dad uses the furminator to keep the growth down. Then when we start looking too blooming, he plucks our jackets to the edge of where it starts getting uncomfortable. He also plucks our ears and around our faces. Then he clips the rest, which is mostly soft fur anyway. He finished off with a bit of trimming.
The result is we have nice wiry colorful jackets and heads, but our undersides are soft and pale.

Hi Kooby! Hi!
I am clipped and I have a nice soft coat! :) I vote for clipping:)! Talk to you soonest!
Your Friend,
Putter ...:)
I've always been clipped, and it doesn't really take very long. Just learning to sit still was the hard part. Once, Mom got my chaps crooked because I bounced on the table too much. Made me look like I was riding sidesaddle til it grew out, but I didn't care.

Hi, Koobuss.
Since my hair is very short I don't know about hair cuts. But either way you will look great. And you will be a puppy forever!
Take care

G'day Koobie,
I got my first cut at 9 months! I'm sure you'll look cute as a dickens any way you wear your hair!

dear koobuss, i love the fuzzy look best! i had one full strip when i was about five months and that was it. i'm now being home-groomed so mom only strips very lightly whenever she thinks i'm about to get cooked in my fur. i hate hate hate the clipper so clipping's totally out. but i think you'll look nice either way because you have such lovely features to begin with!
loves,

Hey Koobie, I think you'll look great whatever option you go for. Pawsonally, I prefer the look of stripped dogs because their colours stay brighter. I'm a naughty boy and don't like being handled so I'm clipped. J1 went to classes to learn how to strip and/or clip. J x
Koobie,
My girl is too "busy" (i.e. lazy) to strip my coat. She clips me and only "strips" any tangled clumps she finds in between brushings.
You will look fabuloso whatever you do, you gorgeous WFT pupgirl!
BTW, in case you didn't already know this, WFT's and Airedales are always puppies in their hearts (no matter how old or what hairdo we wear).
Goober love,
Stanley
