News Update
Hello Everybody,
This is Koobuss reporting all the latest news from Koobieland for KOOB.
Our first story is quite amazing.
Yesterday my mom was in my favorite aisle (dog treats) of her favorite grocery store when she heard an incredible story from another shopper. It was a captivating tail (tale?) about a duck in a diaper. HA! HA! HA! Here’s what happened.
The woman and her daughter were leaving a restaurant where they had breakfast when they saw a duck in a diaper (hehehe) walking around the parking lot. The daughter said to her mom, “Mom, why don’t you catch it?” (Sounds like a good idea to me.) The mom, who has raised 30 ducks in her lifetime, knew exactly how to do that. She grabbed the duck by the neck and rear, picked it up and put it in her car. They decided to take it to the local SPCA. (Turns out having a diaper on a duck is a good thing.) Anyway, they drove the duck over to the SPCA and while they were there another woman walked in all in tears. She was crying saying that she just lost her duck. She made a quick stop at a store to pick up an item and her duck escaped out of her truck! She was so distraught.
Well, lo and behold, a couple of feet away from her down the counter was her long lost diapered ducky. They had a joyous reunion and lived happily ever after.
The moral of the story is: Never leave your duck alone, with or without a diaper.

Yesterday in the late afternoon Mountain Top received an inch of rain in twenty minutes. Here is what the rain and water pouring off our front roof looked like.
Awesome! But I have to say that we really don’t need any more of this for a while, since we have had rain on 14 of the last 20 days here on the mountain.

And our last story concerns this chipmunk who tried to invade my territory.
"Umph... This wall is so tall. I'm almost there. One more push."
"Phew! I need a rest. Oh no! Another hurdle. And what's that noise? Sounds like a fox terrier barking."
"I better high-tail it outta here!"
Hehehe...I’m pleased to announce that my ferocious barking scared him off. See him run!! He’s almost a blur. Good job, if I must say so myself.

Excellant report today Koobie, I was on the edge of my doggy pillow.I don't quite understand the diaper on the duck but it was a very nice story that ended happily. Nice job with the chipmunk, I am always on my guard for those devilish creatures.

Crikey Kookie, we're so glad the duck was reunited with its mum. Poor lady must have been so upset.
Imagine if some "not nice people" had gotten hold of it.......
Now that is some pretty impressive rain you've had there. We've had lots here to over the past month and a half. We're kinda over it too.

Now YOU deserve your terrier credentials. (We're lacking in the hunting qualities.) What great protectors. What admirable rescuers. And what brave water dogs. (Don't get washed away. That looked fierce!)
Admiringly,
Jake and Fergi
