Easter Bunny

Hi Friends,

I think that the Easter Bunny came today. I know one thing for sure. It was not this Easter Bunny, because look at what I did to him last year, and I was only five months old then! I got him right where it hurts. Imagine what I could do to him now that I am all grown up!! I didn't think that he'd come back here again this year.










So it must have been one of these other Easter Bunnies. If you look at them closely, you can see that they have real issues.
One of them looks like she has the weight of the world on her shoulders. The other one has funny looking ears and a rather strange dress on (hehe), so I let them both live. I'm glad a did because look
what I got!!!



Aunt Janet and Uncle Darrell and Asta Marie, Dewey, and Toby sent my Mom, Grandpa, and me all this stuff!! Yea!!!! Thank You, guys, for everything!!

My most favorite things of all were these wonderful looking pieces of pastry with the meat flavor and the absolutely sensational aroma! I love them so much that as soon as I took them out of the box I began to search the house for the proper place to hide them. I heard that you are supposed to hide your goodies at Easter so that the Easter Bunny can't find them, so I looked all around the house for good hiding places. I must have found the perfect spot because I don't remember where they are. Now my project will be to find them.























Also today kousin Asta in New York gave me this beautiful award. Thank You so much Kousin Asta. I will cherish it forever.

I would like to pass this award on to my cross-state friends in Pittsburgh (Scruffy, Lacy, and BabyStan, and AstaMarie, Dewey, and Toby) and to Patience and all my whippet friends. (Combined, that is fifteen dogs!) Yikes!! Hehe.

Hats

Hi Friends,

Last week I promised you that I would tell you what I did during the six hours that my family left me alone. Well, I'm proud to tell you that I was trying on hats. ( Fooled ya, didn't I!!! Hehehe)

This Easter Bonnet competition has given me a new interest in headwear. Although I am not going to participate in the contest, I still wanted to get in on the fun. I just need to find some hats.

My late grandma used to say when she needed something that she was going to "go shopping down the cellar". We have all kinds of stuff down the cellar, so that's where I went looking. Look what I found.


First there was the neat looking blue hat. I like it, but it doesn't go with any of my other stuff.





Here is the traditional white bucket hat, used for working out in the sun. (You can be sure that I won't do any of that.) They say that if you wear a hat sideways, that you look intelligent. That doesn't make any sense to me. You think that it'd be the opposite. Hehe.



The bonnet. What can I say about the bonnet?


I really hate it. Pink frills are not me. I'm not exactly a "girly girl". I'm a fox terrier who likes to roll in the mud and muck, which is exactly what I did yesterday, causing my mom to immediately give be a bath before I touched anything inside the house, but that's another story.)



Now for the last hat I found. Oops. Wrong size.





I had an uncle who once wore his hat like this. He thought he looked great. I think this is the same hat. It doesn't do a thing for me. What do you think?











Not entering the contest is a wise decision, I think.

T'n'T

Hi Everybody!

My post today is called "This 'n' That" because it is about several different things and I didn't know what else to call it.

First of all, Happy St. Patrick's Day to all our Irish friends and to our non-Irish friends who celebrate.

Secondly, I need to mention that while Easter is fast approaching, there is still plenty of time to enter the hat competition. Deadline is Easter Sunday. I will be accepting entries all the way up until 12 AM Easter Monday. Post your hat photos on your blog and then email me that you have entered. (My email address is on the sidebar and also further down the blog if you need it.) Since your entry photos will be on your blog, they will be available for everyone to see and to admire. After Easter, I will forward all entry photos to the judges. When they have completed their judging, I will announce the winners and send out the prizes. Good luck.

Finally, I included a video of me and Sadie for your viewing pleasure. This is my latest release, with the filming, editing, and publishing all being done today. (It's what you call an extremely low-budget rush job.) So, sit back, relax, and enjoy Sadie and me in "Fight Nice, Girls", an action-packed thriller sure to take your breath away.

Home Alone

Hi Friends,

Yesterday my mom took her car in, as they say, to get serviced. Waiting around a garage for her car to get done was never one of my Mom's favorite ways to spend a day. So, Grandpa went with her and the two of them took the shuttle service from the garage up to the casino! I knew I was in for a long day when I heard them planning that the night before. And it was a long day. SIX HOURS!! I was home alone for SIX HOURS! Wait 'til you see what I did with my freedom for SIX whole hours!! Hehe!!!

Easter Bonnet Contest

Hi Everybody!!

READY FOR SPRING???? ME, TOO!!!

I thought that a good way to beat the late winter blues would be to have an Easter Bonnet Contest. Easter will be here soon, so it is time to get serious and begin to plan our head ware. As you can see, I already have mine. (Please pardon the spelling on the announcement. Of course I know how to spell creatures. It's a typo. My secretary is at it again.)

Anyway, the details of the contest are:

1. The contest is open to everyone.
2. You can submit as many entries as you'd like.
3. First, Second, and Third place prizes will be awarded in each category.
4. Categories are: male virtual, male real, female virtual, and female real. A grand prize will be awarded if an entry is exceptional.
5. Post your entries on your blog, and then email me at zhaba@verizon.netto tell me that you made your post. Put Easter Bonnet Contest in the topic line. My mom will then save your email and insert your entry photo into a folder. At the end of the contest the folder with all entries will be turned over to the judges for their decision. Judges are located in different states, do not know each other, are not related to any of the contest organizers, and do not have their own dogs, cats, or hamsters, etc. However, they probably do have their own hats.
6. Winners will be announced when the judges are finished judging.

Frustration, Part 3

Hi Everybody!

Talk about frustration! You should see my mom.


(This isn't her. This is Zhalona Zhaba, but that's another story.) Mom has spent almost the entire day, except to walk me two miles and to cook supper, trying to upload a less than two minute video, the final installment of my Frustration series no less, onto my blog. She started out about eleven hours ago, thinking that this would be a short job. HA!!! She's still sitting here, working on the video, no closer to getting it on the blog than she was this morning. Seems that YouTube and iMovie have ganged up on her.

After my mom finally decided that she had enough video of my frustration, she put the camera down, reached in the bag and found these delicious treats -- KaBobs! I love them! Prizes

Hi Everybody,

A couple of weeks ago, my friend Mona ran a contest on her blog. You were supposed to guess what kind of dog her friend
Cooper was. With my brilliant deductive powers (they did give major hints), I was able to determine that Cooper was a lhasa apso. I was the second dog to submit the correct answer, so I received the second place prize package. And what a prize it was, as you can see from the photo!! Thank You so much, Mona and the Mommy! This is a terrific prize package! It was so kind of you to send me all of this stuff. I love everything that was in the bag!


Now, that brings us to another thing. The bag. The bag was made out of that new no-tear paper. My mom took pity on me and cut it open, even though you can clearly see on the photo that the envelope was addressed to me. Anyway, she cut it open and gave it to me to empty. Watch the video to see how that went.
