Irreconcilable Differences
Hi Everybody,
Lately my friend Sadie and I have not been getting along too well. It seems as though our play is getting too rough. We used to have so much fun playing bitey face, but the last few times that we played, one or both of us have come away hurt. Now, I won't play with her any more. When I pass her yard she barks for me to come over and play, but I won't give her the time of day. I just ignore her and keep walking, and that makes us both sad.
This morning grandpa and I talked this over. We decided that the best thing to do is to give it more time. Maybe Sadie and I can be friends again someday.

Squirrelly
Hi Friends. Pardon me if I'm a little down in the dumps tonight. When my mom went through her email before she found these depressing pictures that my "Aunt" Janet sent her from Virginia. These are photos that "Aunt" Janet took in her own yard today! Can you imagine that? These were actually taken in her yard by her. I can't believe it. (You may need to enlarge the photos by clicking on them to get a better look.)
I am just so depressed that I don't know what to do. I work so hard at chasing squirrels off my deck and out of my yard, and now this. Why, I have to start all over, and in another state yet! I didn't even know that they had squirrels in Virginia. Cry, cry. This is going to be a big job. It's worse than I thought. I think I need another nap.
Help!!
pee ess I don't chase grasshoppers. He can stay.

Better Things to Do
Hi Friends,
My mom was outside this morning taking pictures of flowers and bugs. Now how interesting can that be? Why you can't even see the bugs unless you enlarge the photos. Humans. I just don't understand how such little things can amuse them. They are so easily entertained.
Now while she and the bugs were doing that, I was doing this.
Please don't bother me with that nature stuff. I've got better things to do.

Not What It Seems
Hi Everybody,
This is not what it seems, friends. I know that I appear to be in big trouble and all, chewing on my mom's favorite knock around sandals outside on the deck, but if you look closely, you will see that I am actually eating a bully stick. In the absence of a real, bona fide bully stick holder, one must improvise. That is what I am doing and these sandals make the perfect prop. We bully stick aficionados know all the tricks.
pee ess My mom wants me to give her other blog, One Park Lane East, a plug. She is going to post some of her photographs there. Yeah, right. We'll see. She's said that before.

All Star Game
Hi Friends,
Here we are at the All Star Game. We made it! Look at all the people coming into the stadium. There's Grandpa!!
Before the game there were some ceremonies and other stuff, like always. We couldn't wait to get started. Here we are impatiently waiting to take the field.
Everybody in the booth is ready. There is Mona, Luna, and Jake Barkalot. They are broadcasting the game around the world.
Here we are in the middle of the game. The Diamond Dogs are on the field. Pitching for them is Just Harry Barkalot, a southpaw. Ha ha!! Playing 3rd base is Agatha. At shortstop is BabyStan. Playing 2nd base is Butchy, and Jake Barkalot, who came down from the booth, is playing first base. In the outfield are Gus in left field, Teka playing center field, and Scruffy playing right field. The K9s are at bat, they have the bases loaded, and the score is tied. The runner on first is Archie, on second base is Dewey, and at third base is Asta Marie. Coaching third is Toby and the first base coach is Joe Stains. Maggie is at bat, but wait! She forgot her bat and the ball is on the way! Oh no!!!
On the dugout is Asta, me (Koobie), Lacie, Lorenza, and Snickers. Most of us are rooting for the Yankees, and they aren't even playing! Something in the crowd has attracted our attention. It's the bully stick vendor!! Let's get him!!

Passenger Train
Hi Everybody,
It's me again. When my mom was cleaning up after supper tonight she heard that whistle again, the same whistle that she heard yesterday! Convinced that she was not losing her mind along with her teeth, she and grandpa jumped in the car again and went chasing the train. It was too late to go to our nearest crossing, so she drove all the way to the next crossing. As luck would have it, she was a couple of minutes late. SHUCKS!!! All they got to see were the last two cars.
Wait, I think I recognize some of the passengers in the last car! Left to right are: Maggie, Joe Stains, Scruffy, Lacie, BabyStan, Gus, Toby, Asta, Butchy, Asta Marie, Jake and Just Harry, Dewey, Lorenza, Agatha, Teka, Archie, and Mitch. They are on their way to the All Star game! Wait for me! I'm coming!!
Oh, they're gone.

The Invisible Train
Hi Friends,
This afternoon my mom was convinced that she heard the whistle from a steam locomotive on the railroad tracks about a mile from our house. So she and grandpa jumped in the car and drove to the railroad crossing. She looked up the tracks and down the tracks and this is what she saw! NOTHING!!! HA! HA! HA!
I guess her hearing is escaping along with her teeth. Hehehehe. Good one.

Missing!
Hi Everybody!!
This morning my mom had a routine dentist appointment. She had her semi-annual cleaning and exam. It was going very well until the dentist said, "Part of your back tooth escaped." What???? HA HA HA!! Part of her tooth escaped!!! How did that happen? Where did it go?
I think I'll look for it.
Nope, didn't find it. I'm not a tooth furry.

Hi Friends,
Boy am I happy! My friends joined me at the beach. Kousin Asta came down from New York while Scruffy, Lacie, BabyStan, Asta Marie, Dewey, and Toby all came in from Pittsburgh. This is great!! Here we all are at the beach today.

Later in the day, we all piled into the kar and went down town to do some shopping. How come we girls are the only ones worried about the pawking meter? (I think that Asta Marie is really thinking about the casinos.)
