Snow

I love snow! When I first saw it I thought it was the greatest thing going. It is soft, it is cold, it is pretty. What could be better? I love to play in it, to romp in it, to eat it (except for the yellow variety.) Snow banks are my favorite! I climb to the top of them and look around. From there I can see up and down the street. I feel like the world is mine!

Now the snow is gone and I don't know where it went. Every time I go outside I look for it and all I see is wet grass, mud, and puddles. Mud looks like it could be a lot of fun though, and I already like the puddles. But I still miss the snow. There is nothing for me now to climb up on and look around the neighborhood. I guess I'll just have to get used to being on ground level all the time.

They tell me that as I get older I won't like snow as much as I do now, that snow won't be as exciting for me then as it is now, and that I won't want to play in it anymore because it will be too cold and I won't like getting wet. I hope they are wrong.

Maturity is no fun at all.
